So longingly I wish that I could shed my skin, I itch to feel the air again
And I don't feel as though I fit myself very well anymore ya know
I've been waiting for the month of June when I could smell the flowers now if I really wanted to
I'm like a slowly inflated balloon
But I'll float away soon, I'll float away soon
La la la....
I wish it was as simple as a simple song and dance la la la la la
For I would know the further steps to take when you reach out your hands
Please understand where I stand
Another bother for the one that I adore
I can't promise you everything we had before
But I'll try and I'll hope and I'll pray and I'll wish
You've stripped my heart down to a skeleton
First handedly darlin I've never seen that done before
Rosey skinned, confound I hit the ground again, confound I was for sure
Oh I have hidden away my own box of resentments
Right next to the gasoline and matches
Oh darlin where I always plan to burn them but I haven't found the time
Maybe the fault is mine
Circles, circles, circles, circles
Spun around in circles, circles, circles, circles
La la la dizzying circles
Only the children like to spin around in circles

Yellow daffodil tell me when you first began to wilt and what keeps you still as the breeze blows, there's been a lack o sunshine I suppose
And sister rose why you look so down? With your roots so firmly planted in the ground
Has the soil spoiled ridden with sadness
Can I regrow the garden I have worked for all these years?
When all my flowers are crying please save us with sunshine but I can't stop crying myself over lost time
Orchid, orchid flower of my being... Tell me what has hindered you from singing and swinging and swaying and playing like you do
This somber sour hue is so unlike you
And daisy, baby tell me where your smile has gone lately
Have the stormy clouds dampened your style dear?
Can I regrow the garden I have worked for all my years when all my flowers are crying please save us with sunshine but I can't stop crying myself over lost time
La la la la la la la la.....
Has the soil spoiled, ridden with sadness, anger, regret and pain, it's all the same rain and its drowning my beautiful flowers again...
Can I regrow the garden I have worked for all these years?
When all my flowers are crying please save us with sunshine... But I can't stop crying myself over lost time

Clouds

We are all empty people struggling to fill the space
Some stay grounded by religion, others are lifted by their faith
See the men with all their money, see their beautiful wives
Notice the bars that confine them, see their intricate disguise
You won't find me
You won't find me there
When I'm empty
I'm as light as air, up in the clouds you'll find me there
We are mostly happy people
We are all able to hate
But only you can jail your own mind
It's your world to destroy or create
And you've pushed me against my door
I feel your breath on my neck
I can barely grasp the concept that I may never see you again
And you won't find me
You won't find me there
When I'm empty Im as light as air
Up in the clouds you'll find me there
